Please help us to celebrate the Cambodia Trust’s 20th anniversary year - by holding a birthday party to fundraise and friend-raise!
All around the world from Cambodia to the UK, our supporters will be holding events to mark this occasion and to help us reach our fundraising target of £20,000. We need to raise these funds before the end of 2009, to support our rehabilitation centres in Cambodia. Please join us!
When: 2009
Where: At your home, local restaurant, community centre - anywhere you would like to get together with your family or friends.
Your event can be anything from a small dinner party to a barbecue for all your friends and colleagues. You could use a Cambodian theme or hold any style of party you like. Supporter Caroline Graham (pictured above) held a cake party and she has some great tips on how to throw a successful event.
Together we can make it a piece of cake to raise funds for the Trust! Here's how:
- Email us at office[at]cambodiatrust.org.uk to tell us that you're holding a party. Please tell us where, when and why you've chosen to support the Cambodia Trust.
- We will add the details of your party to our website and to a special page on Facebook where party organisers can make contact with each other and share ideas and successes.
- Download our party pack here.
- Plan your event and invite your friends!
- Charge your guests an entrance fee. You can either collect the funds yourself or collect them online by setting up a free fundraising page on JustGiving.com
- Enjoy your party - and don't forget to take photos! Please ask your guests to sign up to receive our newsletters, using our friend-raising form.
- If you're collecting funds online, make sure all your friends have paid up! If you're collecting the entry fees yourself, you can send us the total sum collected by clicking on Donate. Please put 'PARTY APPEAL' in your message to accompany your donation.
- Email us the details collected on your friend-raising form (you can post these forms to us if you prefer) and any photos of your event. As the funds come in we will update our Totaliser.
- Finally... have fun! Every party will make a real difference. Thank you for supporting our work.
