The Rotary Club of Otaki generously donated an incredible NZ$60,000 via Jean Harton & David Pearson in 2008, enabling us to purchase a much needed vehicle for our Kompong Chhnang rehabilitation centre.
This new vehicle replaced one which, at ten years old, was becoming increasingly unreliable and expensive to maintain. The new vehicle has already become a significant resource for our community staff, enabling them to visit people with disabilities who live far from the rehabilitation centre. A dependable vehicle is vital to this area of our work.
Our centre at Kompong Chhnang enjoys a special relationship with New Zealand and the Cambodia Trust Aotearoa - New Zealand has made many significant contributions to our rehabilitation and community activities over the years. We are very grateful to David and Jean and to everyone at the Rotary Club of Otaki who raised the funds needed to purchase the new vehicle!
